DIY Bricklaying
This course is designed with the handyman in mind and will provide you with bricklaying skills to enable you to complete projects around the home with confidence.
The course will run for a period of 2 weeks and combines both theory and practical activites to provide participants with a wide range of knowledge and experience.

Topics covered include
- Bricklaying terms
- Basic hand and trowel skills
- Basic setting out skills used in brick paving (3:4:5 method)
- Construction of simple projects with and without a spirit level
- Simple levelling devices to achieve the best finish
- Joint finishes
- Brick walls using string lines
- Bagging techniques and finishes
- Brick piers
You are required to bring in a tool bucket/box
- 302mm Brick trowel
- Plastic 12mm roller
- Joint raker with duragrip handle
- Builders #8 medium bristle brush
- Roll of brickies line
- Carpenters pencil
- 2x corner blocks
- Line pin
- Club hammer
- Bolster
- Leather gloves
- Disposable ear plugs
- Spirit level
- Please wear appropriate clothing and enclosed shoes when attending this course.
