  Privacy Policy

The Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000, became effective on 21 December 2001. As a company we want to ensure that our customers are confident that any information collected by us is treated with the appropriate degree of confidentiality and privacy. This Privacy Policy is developed in accordance with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act.

This Privacy Policy aims to explain how we collect, use and handle personal information.

As part of our Privacy Policy, we also provide more specific and detailed privacy statements in relation to collection, use and disclosure of personal information in areas such as on our web site, emails & facsimiles.

Collection of Personal Information
We will only collect personal information which is necessary to provide you with our high quality service and/or products.

  • Name
  • Mailing Address
  • Telephone number
  • Email Address
  • Billing Address
  • Personal Preferences, Interests

This information allows us to process and answer your enquiries.

If you do not provide us with the information that is requested, we may not be able to answer your queries or process your transactions.

Secure Gateway
We use the latest Secure Sockets Technology (SSL) available to ensure your information is safe and secure at all times. SSL is an industry standard which is used by all the major e-commerce sites on the Internet. It works by encrypting the information you enter on our web pages which therefore prevents the information being intercepted by an unauthorised person. In plain English this means that there is no chance of a 'hacker' stealing your credit card details and using them as he or she wishes.

Secure Transactions
To make sure you're in a secure area before inputting your personal details, the bottom right hand corner of your internet browser should display a LOCKED padlock icon, similar to: This will make sure that the information you send to us will be encrypted and ONLY we can decrypt it.

The reason for this is because we are the authorised owners of the domain so therefore any encrypted files coming out the secure area can only be decrypted by us. (Home Base Expo). Anyone who tries to intercept the file will only be able to view a file which contains scrambled data. It will make no sense to anyone, no matter how hard they try to decrypt it.

Please note that you only need to be in a secure area of a web site when you are entering and sending your personal details, more specifically your credit card information.

Our Digital Certificate
There is also one more step to guarantee that your information will be sent to us securely and not intercepted. When you've entered the secure area where you're asked to submit personal information, double click the locked padlock (located at the bottom of your web browser) to find our digital certificate. It should have the field "Issued to: secure1.magic-moments.com.au". This is the secure server we use for all of our online transactions.

From our e-commerce initiation date back in 1998, 100% of all transactions made on our website have been totally secure. This means no transactions have ever been intercepted on our server and probably never will be.

Sending your credit card details over the Internet is as safe as using your credit card over the phone. A lot of merchants who take orders over the phone simply submit them through a computer using the internet anyway.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
We will use your personal information primarily for the purpose of:

  • Fulfilling and processing your orders
  • Internal accounting and administration
  • Regulatory reporting and compliance
  • Record proof of purchase
  • Validate credit card transactions
  • Identifying and maintaining contact
  • Assisting with your questions and queries
  • Providing you with information on our products & services
We will always take reasonable steps to inform an individual about the use and disclosure of their personal information, if it is not being used for the primary purpose which it was collected for, or unless the use is exempt under a National Privacy Principle. You will be informed if we require to use your information elsewhere.

We may distribute your personal information within our company or disclose it to other parties in connection with our normal business operations. We may disclose your personal information to exhibitors who are able to assist you with your enquiries.

However, we will not use or disclose any personal information for any other purpose without your consent. If we do, it will only be disclosed to someone else as required by law.

If you do not wish to be contacted by about our other products and services we offer, email us at the addresses set out below and we will remove you from any mail, telephone or electronic lists used by us for information related purposes. Please be sure to include your name and other relevant details in this advice.
